Gaelic Connect is a map-based website that facilitates events, points of interest and educational resources to help people connect within the Gaelic community. This website features a levelling system that gamifies the experience to ensure user retention.

The UI design features a full-screen map to encourage users to explore and attend different Gaelic events. The client requested a web app feel to the UX therefore, all interactive content opens as a floating overlay rather than on a new page. This keeps the users focus on the map.

Journhey

Jourhey is an app that helps young people to understand and report on what is affecting their health. This app is backed by researchers and allows people to record behaviours in real-time, which enables health researchers to collect several types of data from people as they go about their lives.

The UI design is made up of informative widgets that have a frosted-glass effect. This created a dynamic scrolling effect over the gradient background. As this app is aimed at a younger target audience, the colour palette used features bright and visually appealing colours.

VascuX is a website designed to showcase and seek investment for self-reporting cardiovascular implantables. This project was a redesign of an existing website, with the colour scheme and most of the content carried over and then refined. The UI was simplified, and the flow of the UX was streamlined.

As the website is a showcase for a medical device, the UI design features a clean background with generous white space that contributes to a clinical feel. The website is made up of three sections on one page rather than three separate pages, as this more intuitive and time efficient for the user.
